Een orthodoxe Jood in Tel Aviv, Israël droomt steeds weer over de Messias

Zingt de Here een nieuw lied, zingt de Here, gij ganse aarde (Psalm 96:1)

Met een aanbiddingsteam van geestvervulde gelovigen bezongen wij de God van Israël met vreugdevolle liederen en dans. We trokken dansend en zingend met onze banieren door de Diezengoff straat in Tel Aviv. Honderden Israëli’s kwamen uit hun winkels om ons te begroeten en ons te bedanken dat wij hen steun durfden te betuigen. We gaven aan iedere Israëli een lapel pin met daarop de tekst: “Israël, je staat niet alleen.” We vertelden de Joodse mensen dat God hen liefheeft. Zo hadden we allerlei ontmoetingen met ongeredde mensen die de Heer uit de winkels bij ons bracht.

Moisje en Esther Cohen zijn orthodoxe Joden die de Sjoa hebben overleefd. Ze zijn getrouwd aan boord van een schip met vluchtelingen en kwamen in mei 1948 aan in Israël. Ze zijn eigenaar van een juwelierszaak van Stern in Tel Aviv en hebben een hele staf onder zich. Ze houden de sjabbat en de traditionele Joodse feesten.

Toen ze ons hoorden zingen, rende Moisje de winkel uit om ons te begroeten. “Ik kan mijn oren niet geloven,” zei hij. “Jullie zingen dezelfde liederen die ik iedere nacht in een droom hoor.”

Ik was heel verbaasd toen hij dit zei want we zongen niet alleen bekende Israëlische liederen zoals Hava Nagila Hava, maar ook geestelijke liederen en aanbiddingsliederen zoals “De Heer is een heilig God” en andere liederen die we thuis in onze gemeentes zingen.

Moisje begon ons te vertellen over een droom die hij de afgelopen maand iedere nacht heeft gehad.

“Ik word wakker omdat ik het geluid hoor van sjofars en trompetten,” zegt hij. “Het is zo luid dat ik er midden in de nacht wakker van wordt. Dan loop ik snel naar de voordeur om te zien wat er gebeurt. (Duizenden mensen uit Israël stijgen op door de lucht. Ze dragen witte gewaden. De hemel gaat open om ze op te nemen.) Wanneer de hemel open gaat, zie ik de aartsengel Gabriël en een machtig leger, klaar voor de strijd. Hun aanvoerder rijdt op een wit paard. Zijn ogen zijn als een vuurvlam. Achter de aanvoerder bevinden zich de Joodse aartsvaders Abraham, Isaak en Jakob. Achter hen de Joodse vrouwen Mirjam, Ruth, Sara en koning Esther.

“Dan zie ik Koning David en Koning Salomo en met hen de profeet Elia en zijn dienaar Elisa. Ze leven. Er straalt licht van hen uit. Ze rijden op paarden. Dit machtige leger van de Heer bestaat uit tienduizenden. Ze dalen af vanuit de hemel naar de Olijfberg hier in Jeruzalem. Hun aanvoerder draagt een Hebreeuwse Talliet, waarop geschreven staat “Koning der Koningen.” Er is vuur in zijn ogen. Plotseling besef ik dat ik onze Joodse Messias zie.

“Heer,” zeg ik, “Wie bent U?” Hij antwoordt, waarbij Hij mij bij mijn voornaam noemt: “Moisje, Ik ben degene over wie de profeten hebben gesproken.”

“Wat is uw naam?” vraag ik. “Ze noemen mij: ‘De Overwinnaar.’”

Dan zegt Hij tegen mij: “Moisje, Ik ben voor jou gestorven. Ik houd van je. Vertel je Joodse familie en vrienden over Mij. Vertel hen dat Ik spoedig kom. Dan zal er in geheel Israël aanbidding en lof zijn zoals het was in de dagen van Koning David.”

Dan word ik wakker met in mijn oren de woorden: “Moisje, Ik houd van je. Ik kom spoedig.”

Mijn vrouw Esther zei tegen mij: ‘Moisje, ga naar de rabbijnen. Vertel je droom aan hen.’ Sindsdien heb ik contact gehad met tientallen rabbijnen hier in Israël. Ze hebben allemaal verschillende meningen. Sommige van hen zeggen: ‘Er is geen Messias die zal komen op een wit paard. Het is maar een droom, Moisje. Geen leger uit de hemel zal ons redden van onze vijanden. Ga naar huis. Vergeet die droom.’

De groep die op die dag stond te luisteren naar het verhaal van Moisje bestond uit onze zangers en dansers en verschillende pastors met hun vrouwen, die deel uitmaken van ons vijfvoudige bedieningenteam.

Een pastor die Brad heet, zei: “Moisje, er is een Overwinnaar die naar Israël komt. Jij hebt gelijk. Hij zal terugkeren op een wit paard. Luister naar wat Johannes aan ons heeft doorgegeven in het Boek Openbaring: ‘En ik zag de hemel geopend, en zie, een wit paard; en Hij, die daarop zat, wordt genoemd Getrouw en Waarachtig, en Hij velt vonnis en voert oorlog in gerechtigheid. En zijn ogen waren een vuurvlam en op zijn hoofd waren vele kronen (Openbaring 19:11-12a).”

Hij kreeg tranen in zijn ogen. “Dat is Hem,” zei hij.

“God heeft je deze droom gegeven,” voegde ik toe. “Jij gelooft in dezelfde Messias als wij. Jij kent alleen zijn naam niet. Zijn naam is Jezus. De eerste keer is Hij gekomen om te sterven voor de zonden van de wereld. Hij komt terug als de Leeuw van de stam Juda. Je mag Hem bij zijn Hebreeuwse naam Jesjoea noemen. Hij leeft.”

Ik vroeg: “Wil je Hem vragen in je leven te komen om je Heer en Redder te zijn?”

“Ja,” antwoordde hij.

“Ik wil dat ook bidden,” zei Esther, de Joodse vrouw van Moisje. “Wij willen dat ook bidden,” zeiden Dalja, Svetta en Alona, drie medewerkers van de staf van de juwelierswinkel.

Alle vijf baden ze met mij: “Heer, vergeef mij. Ik ben een zondaar. Ik bekeer me van mijn zonden. Ik aanvaard wat U voor mij gedaan heeft aan het kruis. Ik geef mijn leven aan U. Ik neem U aan als mijn Heer en Redder en aanvaard U als mij Messias.”

Alle vijf begonnen ze daarop te huilen. Dalja, die vanuit Rusland met haar Joodse familie naar Israël geïmmigreerd is, zei: “Pastor Matt, God heeft jou en je zangers naar Israël gebracht om ons de weg tot het heil te wijzen.”

Lorna, onze dansleidster uit Ohio, zei: “Dalja, God heeft nog meer voor jullie.” Daarop legden we allemaal de handen op bij Moisje, Esther, Dalja, Svetta en Alona en baden voor hen voor de vervulling met de Heilige Geest. En ze werden vervuld met de Heilige Geest, spraken in tongen en profeteerden, zoals de Geest het hun gaf uit te spreken (Handelingen 2:4). Het was een geweldig moment.

Ze begonnen alle vijf in de Geest te profeteren over de dingen die komen. Dingen die spoedig plaats zullen vinden Israël, Amerika, Rusland en de volken. We stonden allemaal vol ontzag te luisteren. De Heer bevestigde Zijn Woord met vele tekenen, zoals Hij dat deed in het Boek Handelingen. We zien de vervulling van de woorden van de profeet Joël: “Daarna zal het geschieden, dat Ik mijn Geest zal uitstorten op al wat leeft, en uw zonen en uw dochters zullen profeteren; uw ouden zullen dromen dromen; uw jongelingen zullen gezichten zien” (Joël 2:28).

Een nadere uitleg van Matt Schwartz aan een vriend:

De droom van Moisje begint met de opname en gaat dan verder met de wederkomst en vervolgens met het 1000-jarig Rijk van Koning David, de Messias in Jeruzalem. Het is als drie gebeurtenissen die ALLE DRIE zeer spoedig plaats zullen vinden in Jeruzalem. EN bedenk wel dat dezelfde droom – niet slechts één nacht is gedroomd – maar iedere nacht gedurende drie maanden. We hebben dit allemaal uitgelegd aan Moisje. De eerste van de drie gebeurtenissen is de OPNAME. God heeft van Moisje, Esther en de andere drie Israëli’s gebruik gemaakt om, nadat zij vervuld waren met de Heilige Geest, te profeteren over de dingen die komen gaan.

Dear friends:

The other day I forwarded Matt Schwartz's testimony of an elderly Jewish man he had met in Tel Aviv who has had recurring dreams about the soon coming of Messiah, and who He is. Matt is president and founder of Intercessors for Israel International.

Someone asked about whether the dreams were of the rapture or the Second Coming. Since Matt is a friend, I asked him for clarification. He said:

Moishe's dream starts with the rapture -- and goes on to the second coming and follows with King David and the Messiah's 1000-year reign in Jerusalem. Its like three soon-coming events that will ALL soon take place in Jerusalem. AND imagine having the same dream -- not just one night -- but every night for three months. We explained all this to Moishe. The order of the three events, the NEXT one being the RAPTURE. God used Moishe, Esther and the three other Israelis to prophecy about things to come -- after they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

ORTHODOX JEW IN TEL AVIV, ISRAEL HAS RECURRING DREAM ABOUT THE MESSIAH

Sing unto the Lord, a new song, Sing unto the Lord all ye nations (Psalm 96:1)

Our worship team of Spirit-filled saints were lifting up the God of Israel in joyful singing and dancing.

We were marching down Diezengorf Street in Tel Aviv and parading with our elegant banners.

Hundreds of Israelis came out from their shops and stores to greet us and to thank us for coming to Israel to show our support for them.

We gave each Israeli a lapel pin which said, "Israel, Your Not Alone." We told the Jewish people that God loved them.

We had many divine appointments with the lost that the Lord drew out from their stores to meet us on the streets.

Moishe and Esther Cohen are Orthodox Jews who survived the Holocaust. They married aboard a refugee ship and arrived in Israel in May of 1948. They own a Sterns jewelry store in Tel Aviv and have many employees. They keep the Sabbath and the traditional Jewish holidays.

When they heard our singing, Moishe ran out from his store to greet us. "I can't believe the songs you are singing," he said. "These are the same songs, I hear every night in my dreams."

I was amazed hearing this, since we were singing not only Israeli favorites and classics such as Hava Nagila, but spiritual hymns and worship songs such as, "Our God is an Awesome God, and other songs we sing in our churches back home.

Moishe began to tell us about his recurring dream that he had been having every night for the last three months.

"I am awakened by the sound of shofars and trumpets," he said. "They are so loud that they wake me up in the middle of the night. I run to my front door to see what's happening. (Thousands of people from the nation of Israel are going up through the clouds, and they are wearing white robes, and the heavens are parting. ) That is when I see the Heavens opening and the Archangel Gabriel and a mighty army in the sky dressed for battle. Their commander is riding upon a white horse and his eyes are a flame of fire. Riding behind their Commander are the Jewish patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Behind them are the Godly Jewish women, Miriam, Ruth, Sarah and Queen Esther.

"Then I see King David and King Solomon and with them the prophet Elijah and his servant Elisha. They are all alive. Light is shining from them. They are riding horses. This mighty army of the Lord numbers into the tens of thousands. They are ascending from heaven to the Mt. of Olives here in Jerusalem. Their Commander is wearing a Hebrew tallit, which says on it, "King of Kings." He has fire in His eyes. I suddenly realize I am seeing our Jewish Messiah.

"Lord," I said, "Who are you?" He replied, calling me by my first name, "Moishe, I am the one the prophets spoke about."

"Do you have a Name?" I asked Him. They call me "The Champion."

Then He said to me, "Moishe, I died for you. I love you. Tell your Jewish family and your friends about Me. Tell them I am coming soon. For there will be worship and praise in all Israel just as it was in the days of King David."

Then I wake up with the words, "Moishe, I love you. I am coming soon" ringing in my ears. My wife Esther tells me, "Moishe, go to the rabbis. Tell them about your dream. I have since met with dozens of Rabbis here in Israel. They all differ in their opinions. Some say, 'There is no Messiah coming on a white horse. Its only a dream, Moishe. No Army from Heaven will save us from our enemies. Go home. Forget your dream.'"

Standing with me that day listening to Moishe tell us his story were my singers, our dancers, and several pastors and their wives who were part of our five-fold ministry outreach team.

One pastor named Brad said, "Moishe, There is a Champion coming to Israel, and you're right. He will return riding upon a white horse. Listen to what John reveals to us in the Book of Revelation: 'And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, On his head were many crowns (Revelation 19:12)."

Pastor Brad asked Moishe, "Is this the Messiah you saw in your dream?"

Tears formed in his eyes. "Yes. It's Him," he said.

"God has given you this dream," I added. "You believe in the same Messiah we believe in. You just don't know His name. His name is Jesus. He came the first time to die for the sins of the world. He is coming back as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. You can call him by his Hebrew name, Y'shua. He is alive."

I said, "Do you want to ask Him to come in your life and be your Lord and Savior?"

"Yes," he replied.

"I want to pray with you too," said Esther , Moishe's Jewish wife. "We want to pray with you as well," said Dalya, Svetta and Alona, three of Moishe's staff from his jewelry store.

The five of them prayed with me, "Lord, forgive me, I'm a sinner. I repent of my sins. I accept what you did for me on the Cross. I give my life to you. I make you my Lord, my Savior, and I accept you as My Messiah."

All five of them suddenly began to weep. Dayla, who had immigrated to Israel with her Jewish family from Russia, said "Pastor Matt, God has sent you and your singers to Israel - to show us the way to salvation."

Lorna, my dance leader from Ohio said, "Dayla, there is more God has for you. We then all laid hands on Moishe, Esther, Dayla, Svetta and Alona and prayed for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues and prophesied as the Spirit gave them the utterance" (Acts 2:4). It was a glorious moment.

The five of them began to prophecy in the Spirit about things to come. Things that will soon take place in Israel, America, Russia and the nations. We were all listening in awe. The Lord was confirming His Word with many signs following just as He had done in the Book of Acts. We are seeing the fulfillment of the words of the prophet Joel: "In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions your sons and daughters shall prophesy (Joel 2:28)."

As a partner with our ministry your support and your giving to Jesus are making it possible for us to tell the untold and reach the unreached with the good news of salvation. May The Lord give you a year of increase I pray that God may grant you a new season of advancement and promotion in His Kingdom this year. May this be for you a year of supernatural increase and favor from the Lord.

Een e-mail verspreid onder christenen vertelt dat een orthodoxe jood in Tel Aviv, Moisje, steeds droomde over de Messias. Toen een christelijk aanbiddingsteam in Tel Aviv op straat zong en danste, herkende de jood de liederen uit zijn droom.
In zijn droom worden duizenden mensen uit Israël in de lucht opgenomen (De Opname) en ziet hij de aartsengel Gabriël en andere bijbelse figuren, alsook de Messias, op een wit paard.
De christelijke aanbiddingsgroep vertelt Moisje over het bijbelboek Openbaringen, en Moisje ziet Jezus Christus als de Messias in zijn droom. Moisje en andere aanwezigen nemen Jezus Christus aan als Heer, worden vervuld met de Heilige Geest en beginnen te spreken in tongen en te profeteren. Er worden toekomstvoorspellingen gedaan.
