Beschrijving
For a large sum of money, the poor man makes this bargain with the devil. The devil: »Are you asleep?» - »No, I am just thinking». - »What are you thinking of?» - »That on earth there are more crooked trees than straight ones.... more hills than plains... more water than land» (and the like). The devil goes to ascertain these things. And so three nights. The man gets the money. The rich man follows the poor man's exemple but confesses that he has slept, and so the devil wins his soul.
