(b) The queen goes to her lover, a loathsome cripple, beggar, etc., (c) who beats her for coming late to their rendezvous. (d) The king's friend or a third person follows the wife and sees all.
II. The Queen Murders her Husband. (a) At the order of her lover, the queen murders her husband. (b) When she returns to her lover, he spurns her, saying she would also murder him when she is tired of him [K2213.2].
