Beschrijving
The Talking Parrot (previously Magpie Tells why Sow is Muddy). A parrot (in early variants a magpie) gives wrong orders or makes inappropriate remarks and is punished by its master (thrown in the mud, loses the feathers on its head or is chased and hides under the stove). There the parrot meets an animal (sow, cat) or bald person and says, “You too must have had a quarrel with your master.” [J2211.2].
