The Tell-tale Calf’s Head. A murderer buys a calf’s (sheep’s) head. On his way home blood drops out of the head. When the officials find him, the calf’s head turns into the head of the man whom he had murdered [Q551.3.3]. Cf. Types 960, 960B.
