The Betrothed Children. The children of two merchants have been betrothed from childhood [T143], but they live in different cities. The boy is given allegorical orders (if the duck has fallen into the chaff, carry her, etc.) and sent off by his father. The bride recognizes her bridegroom by these allegorical expressions.
